There are a few different versions of the challenge which you can adapt to suit your own personal needs, although the outcome remains the same. The mirror challenge is all about getting to know yourself better, to feel comfortable with who you are ~ comfortable in your own skin … To feel more confident … To appreciate all that you have been through … To acknowledge your scars and your treasures …. And most of all, to see how amazing you truly are and know that you are capable of absolutely anything!
If you would like to join the mirror challenge, begin by standing in front of a mirror for one to three minutes each day ( or longer, if you are on a roll ) … I’ll let you decide whether to do this clothed or unclothed, based on your own personal needs.
Take a few moments to look deep into your eyes and acknowledge how beautiful they are ….
Nobody has eyes just like you ~ they are the window to your soul ... They hold so many memories, so many stories that only you can tell and maybe even a few secrets, you know you will never share.
You may find this a little confronting at first, but stay strong, hold your gaze ~ I know you can do this!

Hold your head up, roll your shoulders back and take a deep breath .... This can be a really powerful moment if you are struggling with body image or self-esteem. Allow yourself time for your emotions as they appear, acknowledge the depth of your feelings and when you are ready, release them.
There is no judgement in this space ~ no criticism, no doubts, no unkind words … Only self-love ❤️
You have come a long way to be here, in this moment … Be proud of yourself!
Begin the challenge by saying one thing you absolutely love about yourself and who you are ~ today, it may be that your eyes are glowing because you feel alive, your new hair style makes you feel young and carefree, your caring hands are soft and ready for healing those you love.
Now, tell yourself one thing that you grateful for in your life, right now.
And finally, one affirmation of self-love ~ “I am strong”, “I am beautiful”, “I believe in myself”, “I am a great mum”, whatever it may be, that you're feeling in this moment.
You may even like to write these down on a daily basis as a reminder of how far you’ve come.
Continue to do this challenge each and every day as a way of re-connecting with your inner self, to feel your heart blossom, and to love yourself as only you can ~ you are such a beautiful soul 🕊️
